Firefighters extinguish Woodmere car fire

Firefighters from the Woodmere Fire Department extinguished a vehicle fire on Peninsula Boulevard, west of Longacre Avenue in Woodmere, on June at 5:40 a.m.

The fire’s cause was attributed to a malfunction with the Ford minivan’s engine, according to officials on the scene.
Firefighters quickly put on the blaze and there were no injuries. Peninsula Boulevard was closed on the westbound side for 30 minutes as debris and the vehicle were removed.
